Do you sell or install equipment?As independent inspectors, we never sell, install, or repair equipment. This ensures our evaluations remain completely unbiased and focused solely on your interests.

How do I prepare for the inspection?Having access to any existing system documentation (drawings, contracts, etc) is helpful but not essential. Likewise, system passwords for WiFi, routers, control systems, and security are helpful as they allow us to conduct more comprehensive testing.

What if the home has older technology?We inspect systems of all ages. With over 40 years of home technology experience, we have extensive knowledge of both legacy and modern technology. Older systems often benefit most from our professional evaluation, as we understand their unique characteristics and can identify update needs and compatibility issues.

Do you test every component?We test all accessible components and primary functions. Our report clearly notes any components we couldn't access or test.

Can you inspect systems that aren't working?Yes. We can assess non-functioning systems and provide documentation about their condition, though full testing may not be possible.

What if we don't have documentation for the systems?While helpful, original documentation isn't required. In fact, most systems have little if any documentation.

Will you need any of the system's passwords?Having passwords to the WiFi, router, processor, and other systems allows us to perform a more comprehensive evaluation. This access enables us to more thoroughly investigate the system's architecture, features, and functionality. Without these credentials, our inspection may be limited in scope.
